A Reflection on Using WordPress and Decorating Website

This is my first time using WordPress and also the first website in my life. This assignment is to make our website look more professional. I added pages, plugins, etc. Following the assignment, my website is no longer just composed of a few monotonous and boring characters and numbers.

The most challenging part of the assignment is to layout and decorate this website, but it is also the most interesting part. At the very beginning, I randomly chose a very simple theme in WordPress. When I added pages and plugins to it, the homepage became a mess. After my exploring, I discovered a suitable and favorite theme. On this basis, I also set my favorite colors, pictures etc. After I finished it, I couldn’t wait to share it with my best friend. It was really fulfilling! And I feel it’s just like decorating my own home. It’s very interesting! The easiest part is to set the title and tagline. This step is completed very smoothly. It is just a matter of filling in the blanks.

Regarding the future use of this website, I think it will be used to share my essays and diaries, and publish some news articles created by myself. I have gradually lost interest in writing articles since I entered university. Therefore, I also want to take this opportunity to urge myself to write more and record more. In addition, my major also requires me to read and write more news, which can also enhance my professional ability.
